About my tours
Unlike larger tour companies that offer multi-week excursions spanning the entire country, my "mini-tours" focus on one or two birding hotspots at a time—perfect for birders looking for a short but sweet taste of the avifauna the Philippines has to offer and those looking to fill in the gaps in their Philippine life lists.
Because of the shorter lengths of these trips, these tours can be booked even with just a few weeks' notice (subject to my/local guides' availability) and can be customized based on your target birds or birding goals.
My tours have a strong focus on Philippine endemics (which we have 270+ of!) and span the country's three main regions—Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao—as well as the biogeographically distinct Palawan region.

All of the tours I offer cover everything from pick-up to drop-off at your hotel or the airport (besides food). From flights and ground transportation to local guide fees, permits, and accommodations, I handle everything to make sure you can turn your brain off and focus on what's important: the birds!!
About your guide

Hi, I'm Ens, your guide to Philippine birding! I first got into birding in 2022 (not too long ago!), but in the few years I've been a birder, I've seen and photographed some of countries most elusive and highly sought-after species. I'm on a quest to encounter all of our endemic species while sharing the joy of Philippine birding with others along the way :)

Early in my birding "career," trips to birding destinations outside of Manila were far and few between, partly because things were just beginning to open up from the pandemic and partly because of the small number of active birders at the time, many of whom had already been to the places I wanted to go to. But thankfully, a handful of more experienced birders invited me to their trips, eventually passing down their knowledge about local guides, logistics, the peculiarities of Philippine birding (which you will no doubt encounter!), and, of course, the birds!

Over time, I began planning and organizing trips for those who found themselves in my shoes—willing to explore but nowhere to go. This included (and still includes) club trips for the Wild Bird Club of the Philippines; barkada birding with smaller, informal birding groups; and even daytrips for occasional guest birders from other countries.

All of these led me to take on professional guiding for those interested in exploring the avifauna of the Philippines—people like you! As a guide, I aim to accommodate your needs, whether birding-related or not, and give you the chance to connect with our wildlife.
